Badge questions.

I'm about to remove all of the chrome badging and replace the grill and tailgate, and hemi badges (leaving the Ram 1500 and 4x4 off all together).

For people that have replaced the badges, is it common for the front and rear to be glossy and the others to be matte black? How do the midnight editions come stock? I'm having a hard time finding good enough pictures online.

Also, are the non-mopar badges as good as the mopar badges. Can someone make suggestions?

I bought my RAM 1500 badges blacked out off eBay for like $15-$20 and they fit perfect, havnt fallen off in Northeast Winter weather and look amazing still.

I also bought R/T badges for $12. Came with 3 stick ons and 1 bolt mount style and all 4 were made of solid metal and heavy duty quality.

Cheap ebay/Amazon badges are actually pretty good quality as making badges/emblems costs under a dollar so they still make a hefty profit selling them for $15-$40.

OP, if you do order eBay/Amazon badges just make sure of the size specs....some of them can be deceiving in pics and you'll end up getting smaller versions than the OEM size.

My neighbor has a black sport and her grill and tail emblems are gloss, matching the paint. And I can confirm about sizes for the grill being hard to match up perfectly outside of factory as I've bought 2 off eBay and neither fit EXACT, but I'm picky... a 8th of a inch off on all sides just doesn't cut it for me so I just took my original emblems and am in the process of painting now

If You want perfect fit badges, or you want some insanely awesome custom badges, try out www.maineventemblems.com. They made a couple emblems for me and they were top notch quality. I've also heard their grille and tailgate badges are perfect fits, although I've never bought grille/tailgate emblems from MEE, I've only heard from others.
