A friend of mine asked me if I knew how to straighten out a partially bent passenger side rear bumper bracket. I do not. He drives a 2014 Ram Quad Hemi. Frank is skeptical about joining the forum...truly Belizean.

I looked and saw that perhaps the frame bracket could be hammered and straighten but the bumper should come off. I have never done anything like this nor has he.

Taking off the rear bumper may not be a problem according to Y-Tube videos.
Can someone provide expertise on this matter.

If it's just a bent bracket you may get lucky. Just pull it off and straighten It. Pulling it off is easy just a couple bolts, unplug your trailer wiring connector and licence plate lights and it'll come right off.

If the bracket is bent; isn't the bumper also?

You might need something like this also.

Got "bumped" at a stop sign 2 weeks back...$2,000 to repair...
(New bumper, pad, brackets)

If the bracket(s) bent the bumper is probable tweaked as well, FYI

I will check with Frank and see if we can do the straightening. May not be as complicated as I thought. It will be good to help a friend save $$$.
