Probably already been asked, but before coffee, my search capacity is limited. But, in a 2018 2500 Cummins are the 2 batteries in parallel (I know it is 12v but are the batteries are linked), or are they independent? My main battery may be at EOL, question is do I have to replace both, or can I get away with just one?

I’m thinking just take the dive and do both so they’re always the same age.

Also, can someone confirm they are both DIN 97E?

Replace both, always. It's just a matter of time before the other one goes and drags the new one down with it.
DITTO @!@!!!@ ^^^^^^^^^^ Always replace paired batteries, and they are in parallel.

94R H7 Batteries is what shows from Autozone/Oreilly. CCA dependent upon wat U buy. I would not cheap out on CCA rating.

Agreed. Always replace in pairs, and more CCA is never a bad thing in my experience. Manufacturer puts in bare minimum, and a lot of dealers/repair shops do the same. Personally I never go with less than an 850CCA battery, prefer higher. MOST vehicles come with a 750CCA battery (or a pair of them if they're a dual battery setup). In my experience, unless you've got a low-output 4-banger, it's just not enough.

Well I do not have a Diesel anymore but I sure as heck replaced my OEM with Duralast Premium H7 AGM at 850 CCA.
