On a recent night around midnight I had to disconnect the negative battery cable as my alarm kept going off in my driveway which is only 15 feet from my neighbor's bedroom window.

Question...

...would disconnecting the negative battery cable for several hours cause the oil life indicator to reset itself?

It's currently reading about 78% remaining oil life and it indicates that measure is based on about 1,500 miles. My wife said we've driven way more than just 1,500 miles since the last Jiffy Lube visit.

Many thanks to any and all respondents.

Best,

David
