Looking for bedstep which is shown on some RAM videos but is not avaiable through Mopar and ideas on which aftermarket company may have them?

I have this same step. I like it so much better than the hitch step because you can use it when the tailgate is down. I leave my tow hitch in my receiver, so if the tailgate is up, I can just use that, but for getting into the bed, you can't beat these corner pull-down steps.

Thats why i got mine. When the tailgate is down and I need to get tools from toolbox to put on my cart. The bumper is just a wee bit too high and not a big enough area for the foot to be secure stepping up onto bumper/tailgate!

If they’re weren’t so visible and a lot more hidden I would get one.. I sure don’t need it but would make getting my tools out the truck much easier.

I like the Ford bed steps. Frame mounted on the side of the bed. Flat black and hidden under the bed

I have THIS AMP BedStep
Flip it up and down with your feel, easy 20 min installation, works great and is out of the way if not needed.
Not cheap ...

I have the Amp Research one. Easy install and it hides up under the truck well. I load dirt bikes and you need a step when the bikes on the ramp

I just ordered the Mopar bed step (82215289AB) and about an hour later it was cancelled. The reason I received was:

Installing the step requires removal of a wiring harness mounting point. There is no place to remount the harness clip. Hence the hold.

Guys with the amp step do you mind posting a picture of how it looks unfolded? Also do you think 5” tips would interfere.

Do you think that’s a problem? My dealer said they actually had one in stock they would sell me. I assume it’s not a huge issue.

it is not an issue, more of an oversight. others have just left the harness float with out securing it.

Ok. Thanks. Do you think when it leaves engineering review it will be a different design or just some fix for the wiring harness? Just wondering if I should hold off on purchasing? I haven’t actually seen where it mounts and what you have to move and truck is in the shop now so I can’t look.

purely a guess, but I feel FCA will add the hole to the step mount to fasten the harness back.

Then don’t look at the price for the OEM Step unless it’s before lunch. [emoji2961]
