Cargo bed lights stopped working

Hey everyone,
I have a 2018 2500 and it did not come with the factory cargo bed lights (the ones on the bed by the tailgate), I installed the Mopar kit and they were working perfectly fine up until a few months ago. One day the both stopped working and I have not been able to figure out why. Looking to see if anyone can give some insight

Check the light switch !
Have you checked for power with a meter at the socket ?
Are the contacts clean ?
Is you connection secure ?
And check the fuse ! Even if it looks OK replace you may be surprised it was bad !
If no power take reading from the hot wire to body ground !
If you then get power sounds like a bad ground !
Hope I made some sense as I suck at explaining things lol
