I'm not a audio guy. I never upgraded a single piece of audio equipment in any of my vehicles. I m usually 90% appearance and 10% performance but I m not a fan of the volume of my system.. I m going to stop at an audio shop tomorrow but figured maybe I could get some advice here..

I m not looking to go all out. Just want a little more and will have a shop do the work..

What system do you have in the truck. How do you like the sound other than the lack of volume? What is your budget, what specific area do you think the system lacks most in aside from simply volume

It's an Alpine system. I don't know if they have different variants but it s a 2015 Ram Sport. It's mostly the volume. Again not an audio guy at all. I really don't have the ear for it.

Budget isn't a huge concern. But I"m probably just looking for the best bang for your buck.

This is not the advice usually suggested, but it will increase volume output. Some sound treatments. Apply some sound deadener tiles to your inner doors and other areas. You can go as crazy as you'd like with it depending on budget. Check out "sound deadener showdown" on google for ideas (sorry no link)
Pros and cons to this approach....pros, it will help, fairly cheap depending on how nutty you get, your cabin will be quieter in general (road noises, conversations etc) and you wont have to touch your system at all.

Cons: It is a bit of work taking door panels off (which you'd have to do anyways to replace door speakers) removing rear panels off back wall etc...

Car audio or not, sound deadening treatments makes every vehicle better
