So thinking of doing a 6” lift on my 16 1500 and then going up to 37s on it and wondering what people have had good luck with?
If I do this I am going to swap it over to 3:92s at the same time since the front diff will be out anyway. Also will be doing off road bumpers and factory style fender flares all painted to match.
Figure I will spend some money on it since it’s been a great truck so far or I am buying a new one lol , but the price of new trucks are just crazy.

Anyway ,BDS ? Rough Country? Zone ? Heard it was the same as BDS though ?
Pictures are great as well, my truck.

I am kinda leaning to a kit like this with the nicer shocks and preloaded struts.

Another thing this states you need to run 20” rims , is this the case with 6” lift kits ?

Rough country is a budget lift. If you really mean you want the "best" lift you gotta be ready to double or triple the price tag from that rough country kit. If you want a good riding 6" lift that won't break the bank or your truck, that is another story and that is where folks like @Quick_Shifter and @Nick@GotExhaust come in

Zone has been the best option for the RAM for its value. RC is low quality, @Quick_Shifter has recently posted a few good reasons to steer clear of RC. BDS is very good but expensive. Zone is very good quality at a very good price point. We highly recommend the Zone kits. Let us know if you would like a quote. We normally have stock on the Zone kits.

I would never install rough Country on any truck. And will not let my friends do it either. Sounds like you need to ship your truck to PA will all those goodies going on ;)

Zone is the “Best” bang for your buck 6” lift that doesn’t limit upgrades or alterations if your wanting more comfort, height, etc.

Well I guess I can say I won’t be buying a $5,400 lift, to me $2,700 for a lift is not cheap lol.
Then new wheels and tires since I have to run 20s.
Really thinking I would spend 10k or so to do it all.
I donknow guess I will keep looking , not ready to pull the trigger right this minute anyway.

Does this Zone kit come with new front struts/coil overs with springs ? Or does it have just a spacer at the top of the strut ?

If you get time to send me the info on the kit and prices I would appreciate it so I can get my budget in line.

You don’t have to fun 20’s with a zone lift. Just another reason why they don’t limit you. And to answer for Nick. No zone does not come with front struts

@69GWC that’s what makes zone awesome you can stay with an oem strut, you can do Bilsteins, fox 2.0’s or step up and done fox 2.5’s.

Ask Nick for the quick_shifter packages he has. They are kits that are laid out to fit any budget.

Thanks for the info, I do have Bilsteins right now so I guess I could just set them back to stock height settings.
Not having to buy new wheels is a big plus.

Depending if you go with a 3” or 5” rear coil option I can recommend what setting to use on your Bilsteins.

I would want it level so I am guessing 5” coils in the back

So I guess I am a little cornfused on the 3” vs 5” springs then .
I was wanting a full spring in back with no spacers does the 3” coil achieve this then ? Also keep the truck with a little rake so when I haul trailers it’s not nose up .

Thanks for the info.

BDS and Zone offer 2 spring options, a 3" spring, and a 5" spring to compensate for the amount of rake your truck has, as different engines, bed lengths, and other options equate to trucks coming from the factory with varying degrees of rake.

There are no rear spring spacers in either option.

I found the BDS springs to be on the softer side - they ride very comfortably, but don't take much for them to cause the truck to squat. Maybe someone else can chime in, but I do believe these springs are progressive rate and are designed this way.

As already mentioned the Zone kits come with a spacer in the front, so you can re-use your 5100's. Then in the rear Zone offers a full length coil, 3" or 5". You can set the 5100's at stock height to be level with the 3" rear coil or set the 5100's higher to level out with the 5" rear coils.

I was reading on Zones site the difference on the 3” 5” springs and like the idea of doing the 5” springs and if I can set my bils down to the second level that would be cool.
Think I would do new UCA at the same time just to get it done while it’s already tore down.

I had 5100s set at 2.1 with the 5" rear spring option on my BDS lift (crew cab 6'4" bed) and it sat with just the right amount of rake. When I installed Timber Grove airbags, I bumped the front up to 2.8 because the bags had lifted the back about half an inch or so.

You may want to give Timber Grove a call and ask if he can set you up with the bracketry to make your bags work with the lift.
