Was thinking on getting the Steelcraft 5" Oval Nerf Bars but they only come in Black (all I can find). Anyone ever put black nerf bars on a blue truck? Any opinions of black versus stainless for this color assuming I will probably keep factory rims?
Any other manufacturer suggestions?

Black steps are nice, because in my opinion they are easier to clean.
you have a 2013, I assume you have that awesome dark blue color, I think black steps would look great with it!

On an Outdoorsman, I think black looks best. There's not much chrome on an Outdoorsman. I have black Go Rhino OE Extreme bars on mine. I do have chrome bumpers, but that's it. If you have a 2-tone Outdoorsman, it would like neat to have matching grey bars.

It is monotone blue - not two tone.
I was thinking about getting black wheels and the black step bars would be a no-brainer for me but since I think I have decided to just keep the original aluminum wheels I have wondered if the stainless would be better. Gotta love stainless as opposed to mild steel. If it didn't cost so much I would get the stainless then have them line-x'ed.

Black powder coated stainless would be good, but if you plan to keep the truck for a while, keep in mind mild steel will rust through in that area if you're in a hostile environment like the "salt belt" of the midwest. ;)

I bought some Aries 3'' bars as a temporary fill until I get my power steps. I chose black so they blend in. They have a textured finish which I like. This is true blue pearl.

Hope this helps.

That's one way to tell if you'd like it for sure. Count me as another vote for black though. I've always liked black on blue.

An an FYI, the black Go Rhino Extreme Oval Extreme bars are made of a composite material. They will not rust. Of course the brackets are still steel.
