So my truck wrapped itself around a sign. Looks like the two driver’s side doors and the rear quarter panel took a hit. The running board is pushed under the truck.

So it looks like a lot of sheet metal. I’m worried about the running board damaging the rocker panels.

Also, the truck is near-new - 2019 bought 7 months ago, so it’s under warranty.

Anyone have any experience with the body warranty being maintained after rather extensive sheet metal damage?

Anything else to look for?

Take it to the dealer to get fixed? Insurance should cover it at the dealer. I'm assuming the warranty would remain the same if repairs are done at the dealer. Upload some pictures so the body guys can chime in from their experience.

I agree here. Let the dealer and insurance handle it. I suspect there's not a ton of damage underneath as it's spread over a large area but that's a lot of pricey sheet metal.

Ouch! That's a lot of damage.
Shame on your truck for wrapping "itself" around a pole!

Dealer is a good place if they have their own body shop on premises and a direct repair program (DRP) relationship with your insurer for a lifetime warranty. If anything ever goes bad with the repair while you own the truck no matter where you live your insurance company will step right in. If you chose a shop not connected with your insurance carrier and there's a problem then you're on your own. You can go anywhere you want just look for the DRP relationship and a lifetime warranty for piece of mind.

I have used the dealer a few time for body repairs, and have decided never to do that again. Taking it to the professionals (100% body shop) is a much better option in my experience.

I feel your pain. I had a metal gate-post jump over into the front fender of my last truck. They are sneaky ********.
