They're similar, but it looks like they use aluminized pipe instead of stainless pipe on the Boeschbuilt.

Don't I remember a post of a cheap knock-off of Mufflex going around on here?

I'd stick with the tried and true. Especially if it doesn't use stainless!!!

I'm sure for the average consumer, either product would work just fine.
I have a mufflex and have no complaints with the unit / quality.

My mistake, it wasn't listed on their website and just based it off appearances.

I also have the Mufflex. I've bought three for three different trucks and they're all flawless.

so get my Magnaflow 14 "post here for you guys my impressions about this kit.

I had the mufflex 14 exhaust on my old sport with the 5" tips.
The tips had major rust spots on them. Boy was I mad.
I won't buy another system unless its 304 stainless.
If this companies for real could be some health competion for our trucks.
Never a bad thing.

I'm in research mode.... Just found Boesch. FYI boesch uses 304 stainless vs Mufflex 409. Not all stainless are the same. 304SS is superior better strength and corrosion resistance. 409 has a lot of ferrous metal it is more likely to rust. I'm heavy considering the Boesch now for that very reason......

purchased and installed boeschbuilt 14 "in my dodge ram, sound strong but without drone, as the manufacture can only praise, and very well built with quality material. approved

Post some pics.
There's nothing wrong with going a different route then others.
While your at it grab a magnet and see if it sticks to the exhaust. If it does not stick its good quality stainless steel.

I went with the Boeschbuilt 14" as well and I love it!! I couldn't be happier!! The shipping was half the price as the Mufflex too!!

The cheap knock off us the one made by HottExhaust. The Boesch Built actually uses a spec higher grade Stainless than the Mufflex. Boesch=304, Mufflex=409

From Stainlessworks.net:

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GRADES OF STAINLESS STEEL (304, 321, 409…..?)

Without getting into the specifics of metallurgical properties, 409 is what is typically used on OEM applications. It has fair corrosion resistance, is magnetic due to the high metallic content, but is a less expensive material than 304. 409 is not an ideal material for a performance/restoration exhaust system because it will turn color (brownish/rust) from being exposed to the atmosphere without ever being run. For OEM’s who never care what the exhaust system looks like, it is a decent material that will last long enough to get past the warranty period. 304 stainless steel has much better corrosion resistance and a lower metallic content than 409. 304 will not turn color from sitting exposed to the atmosphere, and will only discolor slightly from getting extremely hot. The best thing about 304 is that you can maintain it with a scotch bright pad if you ever spill oil on it or have it discolor. 304 stainless steel, which is a premium mil spec grade of stainless steel that is slightly more expensive than standard stainless steel, but is processed much more closely and is more consistent.

I just ordered my Boesch Built and plan on doing a pic heavy + video review thread on the exhaust and installation once I get it so stay tuned!!

Very impressed by this. This is the company to watch for.
Next question do they make the 5" tips?

I have read online (Amazon) that some have had leaks with this set up (Boesch) and had to do some cutting. I thought this was a direct bolt on kit?
