Is anyone running a brake light modulator with LED brake lights? You know, the kind that gives the brake light a couple of very short quick flashes before it stays on. I've seen them on the new Ford Taurus state police cars. I've also seen them on a couple of the new Chevy Caprice police cars too. I actually want to install something like that on my motorcycle not my Ram

I have been running a Mr. BrakeSafe Module since 2012 back when I had my 3rd gen truck.

I noticed others noticing it when I got it. So it does work. It only flashes 3 times and then the steady.

The dealer I work at installs them on every new car sold. Had one on my motorcycle. They are fine. Don't see too many issues.

it sounds like a good idea, but for my commuter vehicles I don't think it would work. Seattle commuter traffic is pretty bad. When I'm in a lot of stop and go traffic, and my foot is hovering on the brake pedal, I think it would be too much. If you were traveling mostly open roads, I'd sign right up for those.

They (Some) operate when you hit the brake, it will blink 3 times and will not blink again until you DO NOT hit the brake again for 30-45 seconds.

So they thought of that :)

The dealer purchased from installs them on all vehicles sold. I have seen it on many other cars and trucks. Personally think it is supposed to wake the driver behind you.

I used to have one on my Buell motorcycle years back. I've seen a Ram running around with just his 3rd brake light doing it. That's what I would do.

Does anyone know how to get to the 3rd brake light wires from inside the cab?
