My brakes having been squealing for a while now. Truck has 22k miles and no, the brakes aren't worn out and alarming. They squeal when hot and at low speeds, stop and go traffic for instance...makes the truck sound like a welfare wagon.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Yes, i have the same problem. I have 13,000 on my 2014 2500 Crew. My rear brakes squeal at low speeds. Dealer Service Manager said that it is normal. None of my past GM's did that???

Well that's too bad... must be some harder style of brake pads on these trucks. My last F-350 didn't squeal either. Might be a long time before I wear them out enough to justify changing them to a different , quieter material.

Typically the less expensive metalic pads will squeel more since its metal on metal they also create more brake dust compared to your ceramics. Could be as.simple as that for the reason....

Same here, just over 14k miles. I checked them when I rotated tires last week and they had plenty of meat on them.

Well crap, was hoping to hear a solution for this. 13k miles and my rears started at the low speed braking. Actually sounds more like rear passenger the most. Pads still thick and rotor still smooth.

I have had the same issue, 21k on the truck, pads have alot of life left just squeal like everyone elses. I'm planning on going to EBC Green Supreme pads. Better quality, less brake dust and quieter

9500mi... Just started about 2 days ago. Sounds like passenger rear squealing. Utterly annoying...

My 2014 2500 drove me crazy so I just replaced the pads last weekend with some PFC carbon-metallic pads from O'Reilly Auto Parts. No squeal and much better braking. It was worth the $200.

My 3500 DRW brakes used to groan when backing up, come to find out they were assembled incorrectly from the factory. Dealer corrected and now they are quiet for now anyway.

One issue no body has really addressed is how well they stop, personally I am not that impressed and a little concerned that they provide adequate braking power, especially with a GVWR of 13,300#. They just don't fill me with a lot of confidence.

Now that several of you have said it, I notice that it does sound like the rears...never paid much attention to which end it was coming from.

We'll see how long I can put up with it before I'm forced to get some EBC's also.

Stopping power was another reason why I spent $200 to replace my pads on my 2500 with only 8,400 miles on it. The pads I switched to have a noticeable increase in stopping power.

I had this squealing on my '09 1500 and my '12 2500 doe sit too. Both trucks had the brakes checked out and everything was fine, just annoying.
