Hello everyone, I am sure I am in the wrong part to post this as I am new to this site but I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I am a truck driver and I have a '13 1500 big horn 4x4 and I want to do a big brake upgrade but instead of looking to buy a kit I was wondering if it is possible to pull larger brake off another car ( like a charger or challenger for example) and have the fit on my ram as a type of ''budget upgrade'' and easer way to do have bigger brakes but don't need special part #s or anything like that just able to go to a part store and they have the pads on the shelf type of deal.
I know to so tires and suspension and all that but this thread is focused on just the brakes and I'm not set on this strictly I have already done my research for everything I want to do, I'm just curious on if there are easier and more budget friendly ways of getting what I want via inter-vehicle part swapping and have everything work as it should with little to no modding to make it work.
What I am looking to do is shorten and improve braking performance on my truck from high speeds and while driving down mountains.
