So long story short, the other day I was helping a neighbor out with moving some furniture using my truck and trailer, and after having unhooked the trailer, someone stood on the back of it before I moved my truck with the tailgate open and I got a pretty nasty scratch and paint chip out of it. I've never really tried repairing paint imperfections to any degree, and wanted to know if there is anything I can do to address the damage myself or if I'm just gonna end up needing to take it to the body shop. You can touch up the paint chip. On the scratch, drag your finger nail over the scratch, if it catches it probably won't buff out and you'll have to have it either spot painted or get some touch up and do it yourself. If your nail doesn't catch in the scratch you can polish it out, then re wax the bumper. Remember when correcting your paint always use the least abrasive solution first. This is some of the best touch up paint you can buy IMHO

That’s why I don’t help people move. It’s my truck not a u-haul truck.

Anyways, I’d take it to a body shop and have them fix it. It’ll look like new
