Yup, I'm a genius! Pulled my trailer to the local desert last weekend. (Ocotillo Wells) After we got there I unhooked and followed my nephew (on a quad) up some huge hills and hit some really rough whoops. Anyways after I got back to camp I opened the passenger side RamBox to fetch something and noticed that my battery charger smashed a pretty big section of the plastic box out. Anyways I can stare into the cargo box and see the back of the bumper. Does anyone know if that part can be replaced?

You're probably the first person in the world to break a Ram box. I know you must feel sick inside, I would. I don't know the answer to your question but if you can't get an answer or find the part without breaking the bank, and you have all the pieces you might want to seal it with clear silicone. If you don't have all the pieces I would use fiberglass to close it up. Another idea would be to rivet a thin piece of sheet metal to the plastic and use silicone to keep the water out. Just some ideas I had. If you don't know how to work with fiberglass, an auto body shop or car audio store that does custom enclosures can help.

Yea, just another first for me! Will fiberglass stick to the plastic? I was thinking of riveting something flexible (but strong) like maybe a cut piece of rubber with a bead of sealant behind it. I wish it had broken on a straight flat part, not a curved part.

Probably just what I like. I enjoy working with metal. I would consider making a box, externally, out of aluminum. Drop it in and rivet in place. If you don't like doing it yourself you could have one fab'd. I would cut out most of the existing box and leave enough material to attach the new box inside so to lid still closes flush

That tub is replaceable, when I broke part of my hinge they replaced the whole tub because they were molded together. Not as expensive as I thought though, mine was under warranty when I had that work done.

Bin Box. Fits: RAM 1500 4x2, 3.7L V6, 4-Spd. Automatic VLP 42RLE Trans ST QUAD CAB, RAM 1500 4x2, 3.7L V6, 4-Spd. Automatic VLP 42RLE Trans... | Factory Chrysler Parts

Oh cool... I saw another site and it was $579.. That is much more affordable at $318 for a piece of plastic. I'll just bite the bullet and buy the plastic bin insert - all the other parts seem reusable. I assume that it should the same part even though my truck is a 2500 Power Wagon not a 1500

May want to double check because of the 1500 having the 5'7" bed instead of the 6'3" like on the 2500.

I went ahead and ordered the Bin Box from Factory OEM parts. The total was $357 with shipping. It looks like the same box fits 1500 and 2500's. My truck is a Crew Cab I think the bed is 5'7". I should have it from North Carolina in 5 days. Now, the real question does anyone have the service manual, or has anyone done this repair before? It doesn't look too difficult I have to remove the light and on/off switches.

Hey Riskwriter...did you complete this replacement? I'm wondering because I need to pull out one of my RamBoxes. How did yours come out? I've removed all the bolts but I still can't get it to budge.
