I have a 2021 1500 Rebel with air suspension and 390 gears. Im looking at a 2025 NOBO 18.7 single axel, uvw 3988, hitch 580, ccc 1500, 21' long, and 10' 10" tall. I understand its more than numbers and several videos indicate the only way to know is using a CAT scale. This seems like it will be fine to me, thoughts?? Thanks in advance..

I would say most likely you'll be fine but there are some numbers missing that we would really need to know to be more sure. What are your payload and GRAWR values? UVW is pretty much useless because the trailer will never be unloaded; Water, Propane, Batteries, etc all add to that not to mention all the stuff you're going to carry in it. Ideally, use the GVWR of the trailer as your weight to estimate what it "could" be up to and then start working your numbers.

All you need to know on paper for your first review are a couple of things:

- Remaining available payload capacity
- Gross trailer weight

Take 15% of the gross trailer weight as your tongue weight. Take your payload from the door sticker and subtract the weight of passengers, cargo you plan to carry, and anything extra you added to the truck (running boards, bed cover, tool box, weight distribution hitch, etc...). That is available payload. Subtract tongue weight from your available payload and you have your first answer. If it doesn't pass that first test, then I wouldn't go any further.

If it does, then you can dial in accuracy by going to a CAT scale and get closer to the actual numbers.

Based on the few numbers you gave us, your actual hitch weight could be as high as 823 lbs. UVW+CCC * 15% (3988+1500=5488 * 15% = 823.2)
