Bye bye silver

I just finished painting all of the silver trim on the dash black. With in the next month ill be trading my fold down center seat for a full console which has already been painted. Ill post pics of the trim as soon as its dry

I used duplicolor bedliner because that's what the console I'm getting has on it and I wanted things to match. It actually gives a nice texture to it but if you don't let it dry overnight you will have finder imprints as you see

I was told you need a trim removal tool to take out the far left and right vents, but I was able to pull them out with just my fingers. I was surprised how loose they are in there.

Take out the 2 screws on top and pull the bezel off. It's held on by clips. After you turn it over, you will see how to remove the vents from the bezel, it's pretty straight forward

Thanks bloom. Can stand the brown in the express.

Haven't seen the brown but can't imagine it's that bad. I would also recommend you letting the paint dry over night before handling the trim, mine felt dry but when I started putting it back together I had flat spots and finger marks in some places. Talk about being irritated..

That looks nice. I think I will go with body color on mine. Mineral Grey if I can find a spray can of it...
