Bypassing parking break

I have a Kenwood ddx7701hd. Can I attach the green wire for the parking brake to the metal chassis?

Yes...but only if the headunit does not need to "see" the switch turn on AND off. Otherwise get one of those relay switching gimmicks off of ebay for like $15.00.
