Are our trucks all prewired for the cablights? My buddy put a set on his 04 and their was a set of wires tucked in behind the pillar cover. He just had to mount the lights and the wiring to them and connect it to that wire.

I beleive it for HD models but not on the 1500,s (02-05 for sure) but the Factory kit comes with everything including the wire to run up front for tapping into the park light. $85 but you need a metal hole saw (you get the template too).

My 1500 had cablights when I bought it (used) and there seems to be a leak.... it drips from my 'oh ****' handle, through one of the two button looking pieces. I guess the simplest fix would be silicone?

Hi HemiChick

IMHO I wouldn't put anything additional under the rubber unless your mounting surface is damaged. Make sure both sides (metal/rubber) are super clean and not warped or cracked... If you put silicone in there, you risk water finding a way under or through it, then you have to remove everything and clean it before you can fix it. I have an '06 and no leaking at all. I've replaced I think every bulb up there and just made super sure everything was clean. I used a diaper wipe to tidy it up right. I've got 2 small kids so diaper wipes are always in good supply around my house.. :)

Note: You probably should have started a new thread for this.. you'll get more response when the subject closely matches your question, and fewer responses means the topic might not be answered.. Just a suggestion. :)
