3C773CFE-89DB-445B-B293-2AC83857C50D.jpegFor anyone wondering, I was able to fit a camper shell from a 2nd gen on my 4th gen. No it’s not perfect (a little shorter height than the cab) and the inside lip on the front of the bed makes sliding the shell the last inch not an option unless I cut some fiberglass from that inside cab lip so it does overhang about an inch, but I couldn’t pass the deal up $280 with a solar shower. Keeps my hunting dog from diggin on my seats and an easy place to camp when the wife isn’t with me. Color is almost the same - it’s what we in the business call good enough. There wasn’t much info when I was looking so hope this helps

For those of you wondering about the effects of a camper shell on our trucks (particularly 2500/power wagons), i found this video clip:

Keep in mind that aerodynamic benefits can be negated by multiple variables (i.e. weight of the shell/topper, vehicle lift/height, roof accessories, etc.). But, still an interesting video.

That's an interesting video, I'll find out early next month how it affects mine. Going on about a 2200 mile camping trip. Gives me some hope of it not being too bad!

Hello, I finally found the correct size and model camper for my truck. I got it for $300, but it was missing the back window and the color is not the same, obviously, but I am a student and had a hard time finding a good match at the right price. I am gonna try to color match it one day, but for now I will get the inside carpeted and all the other minor details fixed. I replaced the back window myself with acrylic sheet (plexiglass) which cost me around $130 with all the materials used. What do yall guys think about the color?
