Parts are finally starting to trickle in.

Edit : I Settled with the Flyin' Ryan Performance "Sidewinder 2.0 " Camshaft for the simple fact hes the only one that actually answered all my questions and he actually has a website were I could pay for the stuff at once.

I know all the Tuners are super busy right so thats how the cookie crumbles...

Also sent the Comp Cam springs back to Amazon as he uses Manley.

Just doing a simple TSP Stage 1 and will be tune by Player 3 in Edmonton.

For anyone who hasn't installed valvetrain a little trick is to dab a touch of grease on your keeper when installing your valves this way you don't drop it and waste time looking for it or worse loose it in your engine.

I did the same convertor with my 65rfe, at the time the 8HP70 swap wasn't an option.
I would put that $700 into the 8HP70 swap.

Whats an 8HP70 going for new? or refurb? I know my 66rfe was $5400 new from the dealer (3yr/unlimited) and that was w/o control software. An HP retrofit gotta be upwards of $7500 new ya?

My truck has only 100xxx KM im not even close to needing a new trans

You'd probably want the 8HP75 behind a 6.4 in a 2500/3500 truck.The newest trend seems to be putting the 8HP90 into a 2X4 truck or the TrackHawks beefed up T-case and 8HP95 into a boosted 4X4 truck with 422+ inches and a whipple with 14+psi.There's a couple of those running around now,guys have way more money then me ,as that's gotta be a high dollar build,lol

What do you want a stall for then.....pedal to the floor is what the stall is for with less rpm drops between gear changes at WOT.

Bigger cam than factory, needs it or he’ll be a snail and burn up that 6spd. I’m also not a huge 8spd swap fan. I have a Charger A8 it, love it. Also loved my A6 Ram while it was running, ate a few 8spd Ram’s lunch a week. Just don’t see spending that dough on 6 to 8 swap. Mod on Lyle, can’t wait to see it!

Hmmmm, I read it was a small cam & wasn't into high performance & doesn't do WOT but all parts are for more performance & power.
I just don't get it......maybe a thump cam so he can listen to idle.....don't know specs of sidewinder

Kinda odd how that works ain’t it. Different strokes for different builds. Big tires, heavy truck needs some extra power. Thump cam sure would sound good though. I’m tryna avoid larger stall myself, but it’s a daily work truck. Too many play toys on my plate already.
