Can 3rd brake/ cargo light be added?

I’m already planning to add factory fog lights on my 2001 truck, I noticed the new switch also has “cargo” on the dimmer wheel switch. Can I also add the cargo light with the factory fog light mod? Will my existing harness already be wired for the 3rd brake light with cargo lamps?

If the switch says "cargo" I would expect the wiring AND the lights to be there

What happens when you push that button ?

And if your outside the truck and lock or unlock it with the remote, what happens ?

No, my truck does not have that switch from the factory. I’m adding it when I do a factory fog light install. My question is about the cargo light part of the new switch, will it work if I add a factory 3rd brake light that has the cargo light?

Gotcha, I completely overlooked you said "new" switch

With my '17 there was no optional wiring in the truck, even with something as simple as push button rear dome light or a passenger visor with make up light, it all needed extra wiring
