Yep. If they cost money, they are there for a reason - back when the LX cars came out, they removed the hood struts and replaced them with a prop rod because it was $6 per car cheaper. Anything to save a dollar in the corporate budget.

6 dollars per car x a bunch of cars = millions of dollars.
More money for the already overpaid executives so they can **** the little guys building these things, starving and wondering how they are going to pay their electric bills, buy clothes for their kids etc.

Exactly! Which leads to the point that these things are on the truck for a reason...

Mine rattle sometimes when i drive down bumpy roads ets. Not always but sometimes. Ive tightened the bolts but they still rattle a little. Mine are still on
