Can I remove the wheel skin and polish the factory wheel

Can wheel.covers be removed and factory wheel polished?

It’s just painted aluminum under there so you’re talking about a lot of work.

Depends on what style OEM wheels. My 2017 had the alloys with the black plastic covers. Underneath them was an unfinished ugly aluminum wheel.

The black covers were held on by a double sided tape type stuff and they sort of clipped on at each spoke.

Also the center cap hole changes and you have to get a aftermarket one. I can help you with the size if you do it.

Thats what it looks like when the clad is off. Tons and tons of glue. I had about 8 hours of clean up without stopping. Its a lot of work.

Personally I'd snadblast the chrome off and paint the plastic.

That wheel looks good & the clad is very easy to clean ....... unless you just want all black

Check out YouTube, for sure. It's a pain in the butt, and for me, is not worth it.
