Can I take this off and drill through it?

Or is this one up top needed for something? Its metal or a hard plastic, and on the inside is a small hole covered in a soft foam. I dont see anything going to or from it on the inside or outside. Im wondering because Im going to be putting some lights in and I wanted to run the switch into the cab and mount it somewhere in there. Or would there be a better area to run a wire inside the cab?

It's just a blank off, where the clutch would go.

No harm in drilling it.

That's where I've always drilled to run my wires. You can take of off with a couple nuts on the inside of the cab to make drilling easier.

Thats good. Just wanted to double check before I did anything. My luck I would drill though it and thats the one part thats holding the entire truck together. I may have found a way to run the wires without having to drill anyting though. Bu this way would be a bit cleaner looking. And I can take this off you said? Whats the tool I would need to take it off? I looked on the outside and couldnt tell what it was.

In your picture, you can see right above the red "548" numbers, there is a bolt and nut, and there is another to the left of the foam piece showing through. Use a socket, cant remember what size it is, to take those two nuts off.

I'm pretty sure they are 15mm nuts.
