Can you run wheels with different offsets?

What would happen if you run wheels with different offsets? Say 3 at -12 and 1 at 0.
I am currently running 18x9 XD Addicts with a -12 offset and am looking to get a 5th wheel for a spare. However, XD no longer makes the Addict in the 5x5.5 bolt pattern so I am stuck mismatching wheels for a spare. There arent a lot of 18x9 5x5.5 -12 options out there so I am looking into wheels with a different offset. Would that work?

it would look goofy but if just used for a spare it would be no worse than a donut spare...there are a lot of offset wheel calculators so you could plug your numbers in and it will tell you how much difference there would be.

I wouldn't worry about a spare being different.
