I have a 2016 Power Wagon. In addition to the flat, pan style filter, do our tranny's have a screw on canister style filter?

Awesome. Thanks. Interesting that when you google a filter for a 66RFE most vendors only direct you to the flat, pan style filter. I thinking about getting a Mag Hytech pan, and if so , will change out both filters.

Dealer only parts. Also the is a revised torx spec for that filter. We have had problems with it coming loose and when it does there is no more go.

Yes there is a screw on filter inside the pan that is for the torque converter. The brilliant engineers decided that filter needed plastic threads, so be careful screwing on the new one.

Also, some 2016 models have a manufacturer recall on the transmission solenoid pack and it requires dropping the pan to replace it. Suggest to check the pan gasket for leaks after servicing due to mine had a major leak issue after the warranty work was performed.
