I've read alot of posts about each brand, and can't decide which to get. I have heard about some rusting or turning Amber in color and needing polishing often. Are there any pros or cons to either type? Help me choose!!!

I've had Moe's 5" tips for a number of years and I have not had any problem. Matt at Moe's is also a preferred vendor on this site and I choose to support the site vendors.

My understanding with the Moe's tips changing colors was a defect in a batch that Moe's openly acknowledged and made right for everyone who had the issue. I know there was a thread a while back about it that quickly turned into a Moe's bashing thread because he didn't respond right away but everyone involved forgot that life isn't always at internet speeds. As soon as he was back to connectivity it he instantly corrected the issue. The "defective" tips were powder coated black and sold in that manner.

That all being said, while I've shopped with Moe's many times with great success, I have never actually ordered tips from anyone. I'm still running the stock ones.

Ive run Moe's tips for over a year and they looked fine, though I ended up painting them black for personal reasons. Matt is a stand up guy. If you order anything and ever have a problem he'll make it right. I've ordered over 4k in parts with him...highly recommend.

:happy175:dude is always responding.

I wish I got the tips when I bought my carven two weeks ago from you. Love the exhaust though.

Someone talking about exhaust is like turning on the bat signal for Batman. I will swoop in! lol

Seems like another opportunity for oxidation / rust.

I have the Moe's 5" tips, no issues, and Matt has always done well.
I haven't had the privilege of ordering from Nick, assume he's very good as well :)

Good to hear! I'm excited to get them on to finish the blacked out look since I debadged the rear of my truck!

Does either brand in any way change the sound of the exhaust or are they just for looks?
