CB install in 2012 2500 MC

Had to drill the dash but it can be covered with a new piece if I ever decide to take it out.

Finished with the radio inside, but it started raining so I couldn't get the coax ran to the antenna. Maybe one day this week.


I'll need to run a ground from the antenna to the frame cause the tool boss is aluminum and it's sitting on a bed liner. Also, need to figure out how to get the coax out of the cabin.

Yea, my wife was pretty aggravated by the whole deal, but the hole will be easy to cover up with a new tray, if I ever decide to take it out.

I decided on the Galaxy 979 because it fit the spot perfectly. I also have a 959 that I would have preferred, but it's 1/2-3/4" wider and wouldn't have sit as nicely in that spot.

Never thought about that way, I had mine 3M'd underneather the steering wheel by my right knee
