CEL code P0740......... 5.7 VVT engine (HD version)

So at exactly the 1 year mark of owning my truck I drew my first cel at 17,500miles. Apparently code P0740 is Torque Converter issue, engine?trans RPM not syncing? The light was on only a day and back off again. This did happen again about a week later. The info i was able gather seems that it can trigger from multiple issues. Has anyone else gotten this code? Also, can a faulty Throttle Position Sensor cause this code? I thought it was just in my head, but it seems like the trucks throttle pulses when cruising 30-45mph. IDK, but next time it comes on, right to the dealership. Just looking for any extra info, or someone else who had this code.

My 2014 6.4 with only 7000 miles on it is in the shop right now for the same code. They are pulling the trany and installing a new torque converter.

What transmission do you have in your truck? What were any symptoms aside from the CEL? My light was on twice for a day each time. While driving did you notice anything like hesitations, pulsing, etc?? Was the light on when you brought it to the dealer? Thanks for the reply BTW, I was disappointed that I didnt get any responses.

So since pulling this code twice in 2 weeks it hasnt returned since. I spoke with dealership yesterday and will be dropping my truck off them to look at the transmission. Service tech asked about symptoms and when i started telling them that it has a hesitation between shifts, kinda like TCM is confused as to which gear to be in, or shift points themselves are off he cut me off and basically finished my sentence. So needless to say they have experence with these symptoms. I asked if it would be just a flash or if it'll be there for a few days and was informed to not expect it back for a couple days. The inconvenience is gonna suck, but idc if thats what it takes to fix it under warranty. We'll see.................
