Hey Guys,

Trying to put my center caps on my ATX Artillery rims. For some reason I can't figure it out.

When I slide them in, the rubber o ring seems to kinda bounce around. They don't seem to seat. There is a little bevel so I don't see how the o ring has any place to go. Unless I try with the o ring further down?? Before I ruin them I thought I would ask for advice.

Any ideas?

Some wheels depend on the hub of the truck to seat them. Never owned any ATX, though, so not too sure about how theirs seat. Have you tried bolting the wheels up to the truck with the cap on? Looking at the back of the wheel and the o-ring on the cap, that's the setup it looks like they use.

Have you tried putting them on the truck? The oring is probably just to keep them from rattling.

I haven't tried bolting them up. But I will. Makes sense I guess. Will give even pressure to seat. Without the o ring the cap slides all the way in below the flange. So maybe they don't really lock in. And the ring stops them from moving while mounted.

Yeah, they don't look like they lock into anything. Some just slide in from the back and you put the wheel on.

Today I mounted a rim. Seemed to go ok. Then I tried with a hubcentric ring. ATX says the hub bore is 108mm so that's what I got. But it seems like that is the bore with out the centre cap in. Which seems weird, who would run them without the centre cap on.

Does it seem normal to have to use the lug nuts when mounting to force the ring in the centre cap? Once I got the nuts torqued to ~120 the wheel seemed to be flat against the rotor. But I suppose even a mm out I would get bad vibration (couldn't do a road test. Don't have the lift on yet)

Would it be better to run like that or without the hubcentric rings?
