Ok, so replacing with the kicker upgrade is out since consensus seems to be it's a waste of money and I wan't to hang on to the stock headunit for the Uconnect. I originally just wanted a little better sound but now I'm thinking that if I'm in for a penny I might as well be in for a pound. Below is my shopping list. I'm thinking I'll get it together in the next couple of week.
I think I'm going JL audio this time.
JL XD 700/5 75 watts x 4 chan. + 200 watts x 1 (under the driver seat)
JL C3-650 components in the door/dash
JL 8W3v3-4 8" sub (I'll build a small sealed box in the package tray)
Not sure what speakers I'll use to fill out sound in the rear yet.
I'm not looking to get huge booming sound, just some decent quality.
