I'm not saying it did not happen to you,
Just that you are wrong to say the TPMS sends a speed signal to the ABS system.
That's 100% BS,
sounds like the similar crap a dealership tried to sell me when I swapped my old chrome clad 20's to the new 14' Sport Wheels.
I knew the new 14's had a different sensor than my 10' came with, but their price and the reprogramming sounded sketchy.
They tried to tell me I had to pay $142 ea for new TPMS sensors,
then Pay them an extra $40 to have them activated and programmed to my truck.
Thats over $600!!!
I got my OEM sensors on ebay for $69 set of 4
installed at a local tire shop with new tires.
The computer picked up the new signals on their own within a 10 minute drive.
I'm sure glad I followed fellow ram owners advice from the forums.
