dash light flashing check fuel cap, replaced fuel cap no help light still on trucks a ram 4x4 2014 2500 big Hemi new engine new transmission new brain box runs great I know nothing about these trucks I think its some kind of fuel sensor that died how hard is it to fix I,m 70 years old and just got out of the hospital had covid 19. Almost died but getting better every day, on SSI so money is tight. What is a good repair manual to buy?

If you are OK to drive, go to an auto parts store such as Autozone, Orielys, Advance, etc.

They have a Scan Tool, just ask them if they would check your vehicle for Fault Codes.
They will connect the tool up to your vehicles OBD2 port & it will read any codes that are causing problems with your vehicle.
Write down any codes that show up.

Chances are that the scan tool will find trouble Code P 0442

By the way, Ram trucks are finicky when it comes to Gas Caps, they don't seem to like after market caps, they like Mopar OEM gas caps

Don't just start replacing parts to see if it fixed the leak, if you have a trusted mechanic, ask them if they can run a Smoke Test to find the small Vapor Leak.
Where the smoke comes out is the part that needs to be replaced
