so I’ve been battling the check trailer warning light on my 2014 2500 6.7 quad cab. Started with all the connections and fuses. It seems to be a common issue when wet or damp weather occurs with the chimes. Well I’ve found a common problem which interferes with the trailer wiring and other communication with the truck. The rear harness was pinched and burned under the driver’s side rear seat area directly next to the def tank and floor storage area. Anyone that has the intermittent check trailer wiring light should be suspect to this. I will tell you I found this with the wiggle test and a cloud of smoke. It arced and burned on the underbody pinchweld.
