any one here with a 4th gen hemi with either a extreme or a vortex, what is the difference. i looked on the web site and the vortex looks like it flows alot smoother, but its quieter than the extreme. how bad do you think the drone will be with mds. and i was looking at these options over the mufflex kit. ive heard the 14" in person, i wanted a little louder

me and my dad have the extreme and its barely louder at idl but at 17-2k there is some good drone, and when you step on it its quite loud i personally recommend it if youd looking for a good loud and great sounding exhaust... the mds when it comes on makes it louder and such and sounds a little different but its not bad.... i personally have people all the time tell me how good my truck sounds so i know its just not me... oh and dont forget to replace the y pipe while you are down there

is that on the truck in your sig, and by drone, do you mean highway drone while cruising?

Yea it's not to bad... At those rpms when accel it's got a really nice hum

Yea it's on that truck and on a single cab hemi 4wd sport

Not a 4th but i love mine. was cleaning the yard with my girls dad a couple months back and she back the truck up for us. he looked at and said dam it does sound good lol. get a tune and turn the mds off no more drone

so far so good for the extremes. i just looked up the vortex on the web site, and they said its one of the quietest ones they make. the sound im looking for is what i had on my old truck (gibson super truck). nice low rumble @idle, but a full on scream when you hammer it. Also ive heard the horror stories of flowmasters rusting, how is the quality on the cherrybombs

i had the extreme on my 04 hemi. i liked it for about 6 months then got tired of it. i finally cut it off and went straight piped cause it wasnt loud enough.
