What is wrong with the stock tips?

they are too small. Come on now!

These 5" tips will fill out the holes in the bumper

yeah, I was more pissed off over the lack of customer service from UPS than anything. I assumed it was at a neighbor's house (but didn't figure it was streets over....and not doors down).

I'm still looking at these tips and kicking myself........I remember thinking about how I would do this mod without paying so much for them........and now that I see how they did it I'm kicking myself. LOL

I could have grabbed some 5" SS tips, 15" long and had someone weld in a 2.5" tube on it......even if it was 3-4" inboard, and come off cheaper. BTW, the stock tips are 14", well - the entire portion is 14", the tip is shorter.

truck is dirty as hell.......and the tips need some adjustments, but eh - it works. Bigguns!

Man, I thought about getting some of these, but definitely can't justify the price. I think I'm going to just see how much my local powdercoater will charge to powder my stock tips satin black.

Check these out David. You can get a couple of Black 5" tips for $76.58 each. The inlet size if the tip is 4", which is what out tips are now. There was a DT member that had a shop weld 5" tips to the factory tips and then weld that assembly further back on the exhaust. (If that makes any sense.) I am going to get a couple of the stainless tips here pretty soon.

the tips.......are WAY too expensive. Even what I paid for the used ones.

FINALLY got my pistol grip shifter today too. Here's some pics of that.

I ordered it on a whim (black friday deal) - and I swapped it in today. I haven't driven the truck yet with it on - so I reserve "judgment" for now. (hell, I haven't been in the truck for 2 days..............)

I don't know........its flashy, but not much more than my old T-Handle shifter. ****** sure was cold though..........LOL

Not sure I'm digging the tips or that shifter numbers...

If you're happy, then that's all that matters though.

I've actually thought about changing my shifter out as well. Something like the T shifter made from billet with blue paint to match the truck or something like that.

I'm just gonna say it JJ- lose the shifter. There is nothing subtle about that thing. It would look better in a beater civic.

I like the tips, the shifter I'm still debating. When I put it in yesterday I just didn't get that "nice" feel when I was done. And the fact that it took 3 weeks to get here.......that didn't help either.

I will leave the house today - see what I think of the shifter. I am kinda thinking that the T will make its way back to the truck.
