Hey guys any help would be appreciated.
With the warmer weather and driving with my windows down I’m hearing a clicking sound when I’m about to stop (about 10-15 mph) but just before a complete stop it goes away. I really don’t think it’s brake related because I hear it without brakes applied. It’s almost like a baseball card in the spokes sound. I do notice the eco light on and was wondering if this is like an engine brake and lifters getting louder. Or is it worse like the transfer case...

Oh and I don’t know if I’ve updated my profile but it’s a 2010 sport 4wd Hemi. Thanks!

I noticed this same clicking when I first bought my Ram, I'm pretty sure what you hearing is the engine management deactivation system. Next time you're driving, set the transmission to manual mode, ill you won't hear it again

I’ll try that this afternoon. Thx
If that’s what it is how do I make it quieter?

By just putting the transmission in the normal AUTO D the engine will go automatically to ECO mode witch drops 4 cylinder for fuel economy, with the windows down you'll hear a ticking noise. But, if you manually select the overdrive, the engine won't go to ECO mode , you will NOT hear the ticking engine management system. Try it

Yep that was it. Thanks guys!
What is going on mechanically that makes that noise? I know it drops to 4 cylinders but why so loud?

Any further developments from this, OP?
My 2012 i just bought is in the exact same situation. Told mechanic about it and he mentioned it could possibly mean transmission problem. So im afraid.
