cly deactivation

I have a 2007 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi i can't tell if or when it is in cly deactivation is there a way i can tell if its working or not

sound wise its real hard to tell till you put on an aftermarket exhuast

i have an 07 hemi as well. I notice if I try to cruise at about 2k rpm while staying light on the pedal, my rpms will drop to about 1200-1500 after a about 3 seconds. I have an exhaust so I can hear the drop as well
