Confusion on Diablo and HF tune

Looking to ask folks who have used the diablo tuner and HF to to clarify the instructions I got from Sean.

It seems to say that I need to update the tuner (check)... then download a canned tune into my truck... then, get the last written tune out of my truck, with the back up file, and email it.

That last bit is where I get confused... I just downloaded a canned tune into the truck... how/where do I find the last written to tune and back up file to download from the truck????

so, update the intune (DCX) on the computer (no update avail on mine)... downlaod a preprogrammed tune that I like into the truck... once it done writing, plug the diablo intune back into the computer, open the file location and send those files to sean as an email attachment?

So in essence, he is rewriting the canned tune I chose, for my specs?

Correct

It's more because it's vin specific.

So its really only custom to the vin??

Sorry for all the questions, but does the stock file show any stored information that he can see (and work off of/change) that the pcm accumulated over driving time. a/f ratio exc...?

Jay on point here.

You can write new "aftermarket" tunes over old ones without returning to the stock tune. Returning to stock takes MUCH longer than putting a new aftermarket tune on.

Cool.. just needed it in laymans terms, so to speak... I can understand the process now. So by the end, my diablo intune DCX will have my stock truck tune, the canned diablo tunes, and a custom HF tune.. and I can just plug it in, and change the tune to suit the my current needs.

Your stock tune will always be saved on the tuner, so you can return to stock at any time. The canned Diablo tunes will also be saved on the tuner at all time. Hemifever will be sending you 2 custom tunes that will show up on the tuner after you save them into the tunes folder.

You should not have to modify anything in your Hemifever tune. If there is a change you would like to make, I would contact Sean first...unless it is something small like turning MDS on/off or adjusting the speedometer for tire size.
