Connect trailer backup camera to display

Has anyone spliced in a second backup camera into the head unit display? I have a 2021 1500 ram limited and I want to hard wire my trailer came to come on when in reverse.

I was hoping someone would come out with an altered rear tail gate camera with a small USB port that you could plug an extension camera into. I believe some certain new models have that feature, at least that's what the dealer told me.

It doesn't seem like a hard thing to to....just tie into the existing wiring inside the OEM tail gate camera. if anyone is into electronics, is this a bad idea?

i should patent that.....LOL
