Connector Hanging

I noticed the other day when I opened the hood right behind the grill is a connector with nothing attached to it. Its just hanging there and I am wondering what that is. I don't have the truck with me but wanted to know if anybody has noticed it as well. 2012 Ram 1500 Hemi

If it’s near the hood latch it’s for a hood switch.

Just like stated above if its right near the latch its the hood switch which is used when trucks have remote start. You know so you dont have your arm in the motor and decide to remote start.

Or if its an acutal plug like for a house, then its the block heater.

Cool, thanks it’s the remote start looks like. It didn’t have it from factory but I installed an after market.
