Converting a Sport to a Night?

[Canadian GP]

Can't find the right Night I want but I did find a Sport with the black out option (black rims and badges)

2 questions.

Can I swap the Sport grill for a Night grill?

Can I remove the Ram badge on the tailgate and replace it with the big R A M letters?

The grill should be a easy swap. However the tailgate will not be.

If you remove the rams head there is going to be a recessed area with holes. You would need to get that filled. Also, the RAM letters have alignment pins on the back of them. So you would either need to cut them off, or have the holes cut.

Your prob better off finding a used gate.

I was going to suggest a new tailgate, too. The grille swap is easy. Lots of us have done it, including me.

Why don't you ask the dealership if they'll swap the Night tailgate for the Sport tailgate. Not everyone looking for the Night edition wants the big RAM letters.

I'm not a big fan of chrome so the night package works for me.

the sport has color matched bumpers, but so does the express.

what chrome is on a 2018 sport?

there really shouldn't be any chrome on the sport black out package unless for some reason it comes with the chrome horizontal slat grill inserts.

ah ok, maybe there's some non blackouts he was also looking at, seen a few of those with silver wheels and chrome badges

just have the dealer spray the grill, mine did it for 125

I bought a '18 white sport with the black 22" wheels and black badges. I swapped the grille for an all black mesh one from Ebay. I dig it.
