hey guys I’m looking to do a coolant flush here in the next couple weeks on my 09 1500. I’ve never done one on any vehicle myself but I think I’m gonna give it a go. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for flushing and filling? It seems from a few looks online as if it’s a DIY project.

Triple check what coolant was in it from the factory and I recommend putting the same spec coolant back in. Changing coolant spec or mixing them is bad, I’m not sure what the 09”s came with or what they call for, but if it was me I would be double checking.

Crysler HOAT is your coolant if it is an 09, take the top not off, need an allen wrench for that nut, if you can get passenger side block bolt off you can do a yoman's job, if not you will have to do a couple flushes. Be careful with the rad bolt, mess it up you will need a new rad. If it never has been done, you are way over due, then do a couple flushes.
