Looks like I need to replace these hoses.

A couple questions...

Do I need this tool to disconnect from the cooler?

Can I buy a complete hose assy somewhere? Or do the special couplings come separate?

And how much fluid will I lose from the cooler?

Thanks.

Very little atf will be lost. Those are trans lines not coolant. Personally i would get new lines, knock the check valve out of the ingoing line, plug the cooler, and route the new lines to an aux cooler.

I had the same problem a few years ago. The top hose in the picture started leaking and the dodge dealership would only sell the assembly with both hoses. They wanted well over $100 bucks.
Went and bought the little disconnect tool and about a foot of high pressure hydraulic hose. Put double clamps on both ends and have not lost a drop since.
Total cost maybe $20 bucks.
Look on eby, I was surprised how cheap you can get those factory lines.
