I have a 2007 5.7 4x4 that goes through all the motions to start except the starter quits almost immediately after engaging. Like if you were bumping the engine over. I can release the ignition from start and try again about 3 times with the same result. After that I have to turn it off and back on to begin the start attempts again
I can turn on the ignition and jump the starter turn the key to start for a second and it will crank on over normally start and run fine
It has new crank and cam sensors and a verified working TIPM
I am wondering about the ignition switch but also the key fob start doesn't work just honks horn once so
I am curious if something may be amiss there

Sounds like bad grounds. Clean the ground on block to battery and battery to fender. I had a similar issue and added more grounds on the engine to chassis and body. Put lithium grease on the cleaned areas. Is it a clicking sound or does starter turn over. Also check the smaller wire going to the starter. Scotch brite the spade terminal. You can try to jump the spade to battery post on the starter with a screw driver but the key has to be in the run position.
