Anyone make their own? Have dimensions by chance? I'd like to make my own if possible.. rather then dump out $200 for someone else's box..

if you know how to work with fiberglass go that route...you get the most air space with a fiberglass box.

Fiberglass would be great. BUT, i've never touched the stuff before.

If its something i could learn and do remotely well with, i'm willing to try.

And how is the cost, compared to a sheet or two of wood...

Youtube has some good vidoes to show you how to do it and honestly cost won't be a factor when you don't have to rack your brain trying to get angles and things worked out for a box in that small area.

Fiberglass is really easy to do, the first time I messed with it was when I made my own custom sub box for my 04 ram, the hardest part is getting the mixture right, too much resin it'll get hard real fast, not enough it'll take forever to dry, I'd say go get a small amount from an auto parts store and just practice getting the mixture right then practice laying it out and spreading evenly to get a good seal

If it was me... i would do the fiberglass route also.

on these trucks i place a piece of 3/4" mdf over the cubbies. trace the outside shape and cut. i make it like a ring so its only about 1-1.5" wide (the inside is hallowed out). make 2 of these to get some height. glue them, nail them together. protect the cubbies so the fg will come out. i like to use a tinfoil since it will form to the car and it come out easily. some will use like a painters tape. put your rings down and glass them to the foil. i will usually do 2 layers in the truck and once hardened i will do another 3-5 out of the vehicle. make a top piece to the box out of mdf carpet it and call it good!!

its a lot easier than you thought. the problem is getting enough fg and resign for the job. DONT get the stuff at a home depot type store. the problem is the resign has a shelf life and they dont go through it fast enough. online look into US Composites

I am going to be attempting a fiberglass box myself one of these days.
Cut out a 'frame' for the top of the box, tape / foil the hell out of the floor and go to town.

I'm not afraid of trying it, I just want to wait till it's not 30° outside so the fiberglass will cure properly, and I can leave the windows down to let the stank out.

There's some really crazy angles to those bins. I started making one this summer. I quit, but may resume next summer (ebay boxes suck). Also, using 3/4" wood robs a lot of room. Anything thinner isn't worth it. I may end up building upon my OE box. It's already molded to fit that space. It's not worth anything anyway. That's basically what a FoxBox is: molded plastic bonded to wooden upper frame.

Fiberglass is definitely the way to go! With that small area, we need all the air space we can get. Make sure tho, that you pick subs that are designed for small enclosures, either ported or sealed, depending on which way you decide to go. It will make no sense to build your box if you try to dump a sub in there that needs more air space than the enclosure allows.... it'll sound like crap!

I paid to have my box done but, here's some pics....

I made my own from all wood and its sounds great. I was not going for loud bass just clean sound. So I built it for eight inch subs but could have did ten inch subs. I have some pics on here of it.

It all depends on where you get your supplies at. you may go through 2-3 gallons of resin. you can easily go through 2 x 3 yards of fiberglass (get the chopped mat not the woven. since it wont be seen you dont need to worry about the smooth surface. and the chopped mat goes down thicker
