I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Sport with the 5.7L HEMI, and I'm trying to figure out what's causing an issue I've been experiencing. For a while now, I've noticed that when I'm using cruise control at around 110 km/h, the truck will occasionally jerk and then slow down briefly before continuing.

Yesterday, I was driving from Pincher Creek to Calgary. At first, I had the cruise set to 110 km/h with no issues. Later, I increased it to 120 km/h. Within a few minutes, while going up a gradual grade, it suddenly felt like the truck was being held back or pulled , then it released with a hard jerk.

The sensation was almost like hitting a wall of air or a vacuum from the front. It really startled me.

A few minutes later, the exact same thing happened again, and this time the check engine light came on.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What ended up being the cause? I'm wondering if this could be related to the transmission, MDS, ignition, fuel delivery, or something else.

Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated?
p:s: THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISAPPEARED ON THE NEXT DAY, BUT STILL THE CODE 729 IS SAVED AS permanent STORED MESSAGES.
