It could be out of adjustment, thou if the brake lights work as they should, it is not likely the switch, unless it is a double throw , ie 4 wires rather then 2 wires.

have seen a ford, or chev? that had a plastic button that was on the lever that pushed the switch that had fell apart and the switch was not pushed, but in that case ,no brake lights worked.

I could take a light and mirror to look at my 14, but would have to be later today.

Have you scanned for DTCs since this new feature arrived?

AFAIK, there are many moving parts to the CC. I use the term 'moving' loosely to include;
Buttons
LIN modules
Clock spring
ABS module
BCM
and all the connections and wiring in between.

Given the above, the brake switch is just one tiny piece of the passive peripheral points of failure in this system.

.

Clock spring, harness and relay change about 2 years ago !
I'll have my mechanic scan it when I get tires rotated and oil change!
This am UPDATE it worked by pressing the +/- buttons !
On another hint I turned the steering wheel about 2 turns left then tried the CC button and then turned steering wheel to the right !
CC did not come on !
Saw a video that might show a bad clock spring !

My RAM is now my weekend driver since I got the new car that gets 40+ mpg so that is my distance car :)
THANKS for the check list
